TNT Certified to Give Hands-On Office 365 Experience

“Wow! I didn’t know I could do that!!”

As Marketing Director for a technology company that sells many Microsoft solutions, I thought I was pretty familiar with all the bells and whistles. But this week, I sat in on the Microsoft Office Hands-On Lab The Network Team held, I found myself impressed over and over again with the capabilities.

The Hands-On Lab is a real life, interactive, user-driven look at what Office 365 has to offer. Attendees experience a snapshot in time of a 250 employee company trying to work together. You get to utilize the new Microsoft on multiple devices as an Account Manager, Marketing professional or Executive.

As I mentioned, I am the Marketing Director at TNT, so I have a deep, personal (love/hate) relationship with Excel. So, learning about how easy it is to create data cubes, and even how simple manipulating those dreaded pivot tables can be made me very happy.
Some other great features include:

  • Setting up an appointment right from an email, without ever having to leave that email
  • The ability, with a click, to opt out of those “reply all” email chains we all get stuck on
  • Windows 8.1 gives you the ability to preview each webpage related to a search. This is not simply a few sentences explaining the content of the website. It is a true preview of the site itself.

Managed Services: No More Nuisance Tasks for Your IT Staff

It may take some time before managed services becomes the across-the-board-norm, but even Microsoft sees it in the future (albeit the distant future.) Microsoft is already taking steps into that future with new Office 365 subscription models.

Free 2 Hour Network Assessment

TNT offers a free two hour network assessment.

As part of this joint investment, a TNT engineer will come onsite (if you are in Central NC) and run a utility to check the status of your Microsoft network and the connected network devices. More importantly, they will ask you questions about your business, its operations and take notes on both your long and short term goals. They will take back the results of the assessment and send you an electronic copy of the findings and some suggestions for next steps to address the findings.
